When The Going Gets Tough, Brit’s Mom Calls in Dr. Phil

Hitting out at criticism that he was allowed to visit Britney at Cedars without her prior consent, Dr. Phil revealed on the CBS Early Show that he only intervened at the request of Lynne Spears, who was completely absent during the entire ordeal.
Dr. Phil also revealed that Brit's entire family was "frustrated that she wasn't going to be held for a longer time."
Dr. Phil may have had the best intentions, but it seems like what Britney really needed was the love and support of her family, not a stranger!
